LACEY, NJ — Urgent Care Now in Lanoka Harbor will become CityMD, which will maintain the urgent-care center's hours and medical services. The facility closed Tuesday for rebranding and will reopen Wednesday.
CityMD — an urgent care provider in the New York area — announced the acquisition Tuesday of Urgent Care Now. They will also take over Urgent Care Now's locations in Manahawkin and Toms River. CityMD permanently closed the Little Egg Harbor facility Tuesday.
Dr. John Kulin founded Urgent Care Now in 2005, opening its first location in Manahawkin. Kulin and 28 health-care providers will join the CityMD team, of which Kulin will transition from CEO to CityMD's medical director of clinical informatics.
"My colleagues and I are eager to help CityMD achieve their expansion goals while staying committed to the patients we have been serving for over 15 years," Kulin said in a statement.
