Primary Urgent Care has appointed Dr. Juleen Qandah as its new medical director.

In her new role, Dr. Qandah will provide medical direction and administration to Primary Urgent Care’s clinics in Utica and Herkimer.  

“Dr. Qandah not only brings a wealth of medical knowledge and expertise, but her experience and reputation in Emergency Medicine will also be a key capability as we continue to grow our clinics in the Mohawk Valley,” said Daniel Trevisani, Clinic Administrator. 

Dr. Qandah is a board certified emergency physician and brings years of clinical and medical experience to Primary Urgent Care. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her bachelor’s of science in Biology from Siena College. Prior to joining Primary Urgent Care, Dr. Qandah was affiliated with MVHS Medical Group as the Medical Director for Faxton Urgent Care in Utica.

I watched this organization lead the region in COVID testing, and become the best medical practice for serving our community during this pandemic,” said Dr. Qandah. “I am committed to bringing Primary Urgent Care new visions of excellence. We pride ourselves in delivering innovative quality with compassion and professionalism.”

Primary Urgent Care is locally owned and operated. Each clinic is fully equipped with high-tech X-ray and lab equipment to provide quality medical care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, including:

General illness: Cold, Cough, Flu, fever, rash, Strep throat 

Minor injuries: Sprains, lacerations, sports injuries

Preventive care: Testing, physicals

Occupation Medicine: Pre-employment physicals, drug testing

Primary Urgent Care is open seven days a week, Monday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and now offers new extended hours on weekends 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Utica and Herkimer locations.
