SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) - “Significant damage” was sustained in a fire at an urgent care facility in Salem early Wednesday.
Salem Fire & EMS responded to the fire at Salem MedExpress at 1336 W. Main Street about 6:20 a.m. Other businesses that operate in the Mill Lane Commons shopping area were affected by the smoke.
Salem Fire says it took firefighters 30 minutes to contain the fire and the building sustained serious fire, smoke and water damage.
No cause has been determined, and a damage estimate has not been set.
