I have a very important and urgent story about my baby cousin Joselyn Beeler - Loveland Magazine

pentingnus.blogspot.com

My cousin Nina Beeler (mother) and James Beeler(father) are both Loveland Alumnus, high school sweethearts, got married, and had their one and only baby girl Joselyn.

Fast forward to September 28th, 2019. Nina and her little family came to support my son and the Loveland Tigers for their Homecoming game. There I found out that Joselyn had stopped walking for 6 weeks prior to the game. I could tell that she wasn’t herself and was in pain.

I then began to question Nina and James on the onset of the condition and what they had done so far to see if I could help out in any way. I worked in the OR for several years and being in the medical field you experience different operations, conditions, etc.

Finding out that the doctors continued saying what it could be instead of finding out the source of the issue while pushing antibiotics and medicine didn’t help. Scheduling appointments weeks away.

Joselyn said to make sure you share this story with all your friends and let them know about how you can help her and her family!

I got the pleasure to see little Joselyn the following day at our cousin’s birthday party at the Castle Skateland. We had more time to talk about Joselyn and it hurt my heart that Nina and James tried to stand her up to walk and she couldn’t even hold her little baby weight.

I convinced Nina and James to not put it off any longer and they took her to the Children’s Liberty location where was seen and they immediately sent them directly to Cincinnati Children’s.

Joselyn then went through several testings and procedures to find out just what was going on with her little body.

Nina and James didn’t want to spread the word that their daughter had CANCER but daily my family and I prayed for them to understand that Joselyn needs prayer and we need to raise awareness to the children suffering from Neuroblastoma.

Joselyn has Neuroblastoma Stage M which means the cancer spreads. She has several tumors in different locations throughout her body.

Joselyn has Neuroblastoma Stage M which means the cancer spreads. She has several tumors in different locations throughout her body. She has had several rounds of chemotherapy and high dose radiations and surgeries. She recently had her stem cells put back in that they took from the beginning and also platelet therapy and a pain pump.

Joselyn has been so brave and such a trooper and with a smile on her face through the hardest time of her life taking each test like a warrior.

The Beeler family pretty much has lived in Cincinnati Children’s for almost a year now.

The Beeler family pretty much has lived in Cincinnati Children’s for almost a year now only being able to go home a few times to celebrate her 2nd birthday and on a few of her “good days” where she didn’t have a fever or something going on.

They stated they were blessed that they were even able to go home even if it was only for a day or two.  There truly is no place like HOME!

Nina’s sisters, Jessica Rosing and Katrina James, (my cousins), and Nina’s mother, Renee James (my aunt) and Ada Sanders (my grandmother) and my mother (Michele Stamper) – all of us knew we needed to help Nina and James out.

We decided to do a Gala to raise money for all her medical expenses. Though that was a huge success Joselyn is still in the hospital fighting and each day brings more medical bills.

We have done two different t-shirt sales and continue to think of ways to raise more money to help Joselyn out. We have a GoFundMe page where many people have donated. The link is Joseyln’s Journey – Joselyn’s Journey and you can find more information on the website and blog.

On June 20th my son’s baseball team the PYO Patriots are doing a fundraiser for Joselyn.

The address to the ballpark is 9124 Cincinnati Columbus Rd. West Chester Township Ohio. (Get Directions)

We will be there from the first game of the day but my son’s team plays at 2:30 PM. We will be there until all sales are final from the bake sale and other merchandise.

Joselyn has been busy with treatment, she’s healed her broken bone in her foot, finished round 4 of chemo and now has started on high dose radiation. She continues to smile and be the bravest little girl. Please continue those prayers! (January 29, 2020)

The team will have purple jersey’s with yellow and white stripes to support childhood cancer and raise money to help with Joselyn’s ongoing medical bills.

We have also been brainstorming for other fundraisers in the near future to help with medical expenses and I will keep you informed on when, what, and, where the next fundraiser will be held.

Thank you Mr. Miller and Loveland Magazine for helping my family out during this trying time and thank you for using your voice.

We continue to invite whoever will pray for Joselyn for complete healing and a miracle the more prayers the better!

Much gratitude and Love

Sincerely,

Brittany Gault
