Urgent Care for Children will open in Collierville this fall, its first location outside Alabama.
The Birmingham-based pediatric urgent care provider will open its seventh location at 604 W. Poplar Ave., in front of Walmart in Collierville.
“Our team of physicians and staff are thrilled to begin providing quality care with less waiting to the city of Memphis," said Dr. Allury Arora, co-founder and chief medical officer. "We know how important it is that pediatric patients have access to specialized care after hours and on the weekends, even when their primary care provider is not available."
The Collierville clinic will be the first in a string of Urgent Care for Children openings across the Southeast over the next seven years.
The urgent care clinic will provide acute treatment, an alternative to emergency room visits, for people 21 and under, according to a news release. This excludes life-threatening needs.
The urgent care website says the clinic accepts most major insurances.
Anna Peacock, marketing manager for Urgent Care for Children, said the clinic hours have not been determined yet, but it will be open 365 days a year, including holidays and weekends.
