American Family Care, a nationwide provider of urgent care and accessible primary care, continues to expand its national healthcare network with the opening of the fourth AFC urgent care clinic in greater Los Angeles.
A new state-of-the-art facility is seeing patients seven days a week in Agoura Hills.
The independently owned facility is in the Twin Oaks Shopping center next to Starbucks at Ste. B, 5825 Kanan Road.
COVID-19 tests will soon be available in Agoura Hills with results ready in 15 minutes or less. American Family Care just received five Abbott ID NOW COVID-19 test machines, which are portable, rapid molecular testing machines that can test for COVID-19, strep throat and influenza.
The urgent care center also provides a comprehensive list of medical services that may save families time and money.
“You will always see an experienced medical provider during your visit,” said Svetlana Kertanova, CEO of AFC Agoura Hills.
“Seeking out healthcare during a pandemic can be stressful. You can count on AFC always providing top-notch care in a safe, clean environment,” said Kertanova.
Over the last 38 years, AFC expanded to more than 20 states.
All AFC clinics are equipped and staffed to provide accessible primary care, urgent care and minor emergency treatment.
Each clinic features a high-tech approach, including digital x-rays, on-site lab testing, state-of-the-art diagnostics and electronic medical records.
No appointments are necessary. The clinic also offers AFC TeleCare, an easy to use telehealth option.
“Having an AFC in the community helps reduce the burden of overworked emergency rooms and cuts down the wait time for patients with non-life-threatening emergencies,” Kertanova said. “Our objective is always to offer fast, efficient and affordable care and to have patients treated and out the door in as little as 30 to 45 minutes.”
Dr. Salvador Plasencia is among the experienced medical providers who are treating patients at AFC Agoura Hills. He is a primary care physician who is trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics.
“ AFC’s medical staff is equipped to provide COVID-19 testing, set a broken bone, administer vaccines and even give teens sports physicals every day of the week,” said Plasencia.
AFC’s Agoura Hills location also has a full suite of occupational medicine and workers’ compensation services, including OSHA-mandated medical surveillance exams, DOT and non- DOT drug screens and physicals, and breath alcohol tests, among many other services.
American Family Care Agoura Hills is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
