With many Long Islanders going to get tested, CityMD announced that it will be reducing hours to protect its health care workers from the recent spike in cases.

People were seen lined up outside of the CityMD in Levittown early Sunday morning to get tested.

Officials with CityMD say they've been so busy, they've had to change their policy when it comes to seeing patients after hours.

In an email, the company said, "Our site staff and doctors have been seeing patients well beyond normal closing time for months now and we've reached the point where they are sacrificing their own safety and health. Therefore, beginning Monday, Nov. 16, we are adjusting the operating hours at all CityMD locations, closing 90 minutes earlier."

Other urgent care centers are also making changes.

AFC Urgent Care says it will be opening a testing-only location in Lake Ronkonkoma and will soon provide rapid tests at MacArthur Airport.

News 12 viewers say their wait for a test ranged from two hours to just five minutes.

Nassau officials say they recently added drive-through testing facilities in the Five Towns and the Great Neck area.

In Suffolk, the health department says it's monitoring the data and will activate hot-spot testing sites where they are needed.

Everyone is advised to get tested for coronavirus if they have symptoms, and even if you don't, experts say you should still get tested because some people can be asymptotic.
