Syracuse, N.Y. -- WellNow Urgent Care is looking to fill 300 new jobs at its urgent care centers across Upstate New York, including 75 positions in the Syracuse area.
WellNow said the hiring in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse areas will support 10 upcoming centers set to open by early 2021 and to backfill recently promoted positions.
The new jobs are full- and part-time positions in Webster, Glen Falls, Troy, Rotterdam, Gloversville, Saratoga, Brockport, Syracuse, Rensselaer, Lockport, Williamsville and elsewhere, the company said.
Open positions are a mix of clinical providers, including nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, physician assistants, patient care technicians and radiological technologists, as well as administrative positions such as front desk receptionists.

“With flu season and the anticipated next wave of COVID-19 happening at the same time, Central New York communities need easy-to-get, high quality healthcare now more than ever," said Dr. John Radford, WellNow Urgent Care president. "This means we need to dial up our hiring efforts now, so we can get ahead of the expected demand from this so-called ‘twindemic.’”
WellNow employs 1,100 people at nearly 50 urgent care centers in New York and Illinois, including seven in Onondaga County. The company said its workforce has grown more than 40% since October 2019.
