Tower Health announced that it will open a new location in Exeter for Urgent Care and Laboratory services on Monday, May 17. Tower Health Urgent Care Exeter will be located at 4603 Perkiomen Avenue, the Target Shopping Center, in the former Famous Footwear location.
“The urgent care move will allow Exeter Quick Care, as it is currently known, to become a full-service urgent care center complete with radiology services,” said Charles Barbera, MD, Tower Health Vice President, Pre-Hospital and Unscheduled Care.
“In addition, this brand-new facility will double the size, as patient demand has exceeded our current capacity, will offer radiology services, and is serviced by BARTA Bus Service.”
All Tower Health Urgent Care facilities are open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to provide walk-in care for a variety of conditions including: colds, flu, allergies, asthma, sore throat, sports injuries, minor lacerations, sprains, earaches, and preventative services such as physicals, vaccines, and occupational health.
The Laboratory in Exeter will be open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon.
Flu vaccines and COVID-19 testing are also available at all THUC locations; rapid COVID-19 testing is available for those individuals experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
In addition, the locations in Exeter and Wyomissing also offer COVID-19 rapid testing for travel.
The Tower Health Urgent Care team includes board-certified Physicians and Advance Practice Providers. To provide fully integrated care, all Tower Health Urgent Care Centers use EPIC, the electronic medical record in use across Tower Health.
