The holidays are in the rearview mirror, but coronavirus numbers are still climbing on Long Island - and now, so many people are trying to get tested that urgent care centers are having to turn some away.
CityMD in Lake Grove was out of appointments for the day by 11 a.m. Those lucky enough to get a spot were asked to wait in their cars until it was their turn the go inside.
Long Island's positivity rate is climbing - with Suffolk's seven-day rolling average at 9.3% and Nassau's at 7.5%.
Medical experts say we will likely see the effects of holiday gatherings in a couple of weeks, so that means the positivity numbers could keep climbing.
