Essentia Health is expanding its hours of operation at two urgent care clinics, the health care system announced Friday.
Beginning Monday, Essentia Health Urgent Care-West Duluth will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Fridays and will continue to be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
The West Duluth clinic will expand its hours further and begin offering daily urgent care services starting Monday, Oct. 25. Its hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The clinic is located at 4212 Grand Ave. Previously, the clinic had only been open Saturdays and Sundays.
Starting Saturday, Oct. 23, Essentia Health Urgent Care-Hermantown will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The clinic is located at 4855 W. Arrowhead Road. The urgent care clinic had been temporarily closed.
With the change announcement, Essentia stated the health system recognizes that the need for acute care doesn't always happen during business hours on weekdays.
