Dignity Health Pacific Central Coast Health Centers are extending their offering of no-cost flu shots through Oct. 17.
Specifically, Dignity Health Urgent Care in Solvang will be offering flu shots for adults 18-64 years old. According to the press release, no appointment is necessary, but supplies are limited.
“The symptoms of COVID-19 and the flu are very similar and while there is still no vaccine for COVID-19, we could see a ‘twindemic’ this year,” Jason Morris, MD, Dignity Health Urgent Care in Solvang, said in the press release. “For this reason, it is important to get a flu vaccination and protect yourself, your family and the community during these uncertain times.”
The no-cost flu shots are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1992 Old Mission Drive, Suite 140, Solvang.
