The Marco Urgent Care Center, located at 40 South Heathwood Drive, has been serving the Marco Island community for over 30 years.
Appointments are not necessary, and walk-ins are welcome at the Urgent Care Center. The center is open seven days a week from 8 AM to 7:30 PM for the treatment of non-emergencies, illness, and minor injuries. Staffed by board-certified physicians and licensed clinical professionals, the facility is part of the NCH Healthcare System, a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. That means the medical staff has access to all the world-renowned resources NCH and Mayo Clinic have to offer their patients.
The urgent care facility has the capabilities to provide a full range of services to both adults and pediatric patients, for a variety of illnesses and injuries including sore throat, mild asthma, minor stitches, insect stings, sprain/strain, cough/cold, flu, minor burn, and allergic reaction/rash, to name a few.
With onsite laboratory testing available at the Marco Urgent Care Center, patients receive a convenient means to obtain required lab test results as quickly as possible.
The onsite radiology services feature state of the art x-ray and CT scan equipment, offering a quick diagnosis so that injuries can be addressed, and a treatment plan may be provided. With patient satisfaction as a number one goal, each person receives exceptional, quality care and attention.
Not only is this facility incredibly beneficial to full-time residents, but also very helpful for vacationers who require medical help during their stay without leaving the island.
The center does not replace the necessity for a primary care physician or emergency department, but it does provide a great deal of help to many residents. Patients with an illness or injury that require testing and evaluation at a higher level of care will be stabilized and transferred to the appropriate hospital or facility by ground or air transport.
