City/County Emergency Orders

Pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order 21-102, issued on May 3, 2021, the provisions of the Broward County Comprehensive Emergency Order are suspended until further notice. While it is no longer a requirement, all persons are encouraged to continue to wear facial coverings and practice social distancing. Private businesses may impose their own requirements.

2020

March 18. The City of Sunrise issued Ordinance 654, declaring a State of Local Emergency and and empowering the City Manager to issue Declarations of Emergency Regulations.
March 18. The City of Sunrise issued a Declaration of Emergency Regulations, restricting the operations of certain businesses in Sunrise for the purpose of protecting the public health.
March 22. The City of Sunrise issued Declaration of Emergency Regulations 20-02 to align with Broward County's March 22nd action - superseding the City of Sunrise’s Declarations of Emergency Regulations issued on March 18.
March 24. The City of Sunrise issued Declaration of Emergency Regulations 20-03, clarifying essential and non-essential businesses, and automatically adopting stricter regulations issued by Broward County.
