Torrance Memorial is recognized for exceptional and innovative performance
in emergency care with annual award

TORRANCE, Calif., July 13, 2021 – Torrance Memorial emergency department announced it is a recipient of the Emergency Nurses Association’s (ENA) 2021 Lantern Award for demonstrating exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research.

The ENA Lantern Award showcases an emergency department’s accomplishments in incorporating evidence-based practice and innovation into emergency care. EDs are encouraged to share stories which highlight a commitment to care of patients as well as well-being of nursing staff. The award serves as a visible symbol of our commitment to quality, safety and a healthy work environment.

“We are honored to receive the Lantern award as it is a testament to the dedication of our nursing staff in the emergency department especially during this past year. We have worked diligently to provide a healthy, safe and quality work environment even while managing the worst health crisis in modern history.” said Clinical Director of the Emergency Department, Teri Dart.
